First comes thought; then organization of that thought, into ideas and plans; then transformation of those plans into reality.
The beginning, as you will observe, is in your imagination.
– Napoleon Hill
Our path is full of doors and passageways. We see brilliant opportunities to transform our lives like never before. And at this very moment of change, we treasure the imagination as the fountain of all creations to follow.
Our thoughts, ideas and dreams matter. Every created thing in this world begins as a blueprint, a concept, or design – so there is no reason why the architecture of the imagination cannot become reality in the time ahead of us. This year is a great starting point for new mindfulness in our thoughts – more than merely allowing ideas to happen, learning to actively cultivate their existence.
What we can dream, we can do. Through reflection and contemplation we can foster a sense of curiosity and wonder. With tools as simple as pen and paper, we can start to shape each dream into a plan. And with sincere effort (like the artist who practices at the same time each day) we can turn these plans into real steps forward on our path of self-realization.
Whatever the individual goal we each pursue in the months ahead, we all share one thing in common – the freedom of the mind that allows us to enjoy moments like this one, when old perceptions shifts into the new, when the familiar self transforms into something just a bit more beautiful than before.
The door has swung open. It’s time to walk through.
