Imagine you are aiming a rocket at the sky. Now imagine adjusting the rocket by the smallest degree – a hundredth of an inch or less. What will happen?

To the person standing at the launch site, everything looks the same – the change made to the rocket is too small to notice. However, the slight adjustment to the launch angle means that the rocket will now end up hundreds, maybe thousands of miles away from where it was originally going to land.

To put it simply, the smallest change in the beginning of a journey makes a huge difference over time and distance.

And in this way, rockets are kind of like people. When we make small adjustments – a hug here, a smile there – we can greatly impact where that person is going to wind up. So be kind, and be positive – small changes do make a huge difference.
