Change can be scary, no doubt about it. When we don’t know what’s coming around the next turn, it’s natural to feel protective – and we resist change. But what we don’t realize is that without change, nothing beautiful would ever grow. And sometimes the first part of change is learning to let go of our old selves.
A famous line by Lao Tzu goes – when I let go of what I am, I become what I might be. In other words, when we release our past attachments, doubts, and fears, we become free to move in a new direction.
Remember also that sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together – and that the end of something old might just be a sign of something new beginning.
