All you have to do is remember to pay attention. Try some of the following ways to shift your perspective, and you will feel the stress of the day’s problems start to melt away as your awareness expands to embrace the amazing things that are all around you.
Look up or out
If you are inside, take a moment to look out the window. If you are outside, look up to the sky or out to the horizon, if it is visible from where you are. Let your awareness expand to fill the vast distances that you see. Take several deep breaths before returning to what you were doing.
Feel the happiness
Love, delight, and happiness are all around us — in the smile of a child, in a shared laugh with a friend, even in the wagging tail of a dog. Become more aware of these amazing moments and savor them whenever they occur throughout the day.

The world is rich with amazing beauty that we often miss seeing. Take some time to look at a flower or other natural object and really see it in a way you may not have seen it before. Observe the different colors and the way they subtly shift. See which parts of the flower are symmetrical and which are not. Notice any movement in the breeze.
