Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, or the “father of motivation” as his fans affectionately call him, has authored over 40 books (including 20 New York Times bestsellers) on the topics of self-development and spiritual growth. Despite a fatherless childhood spent in orphanages and foster homes, Dr. Dyer overcame a number of obstacles to achieve the life of his dreams. Through his works, Dr. Dyer’s goal has always been to show others how to do the same so they may live an extraordinary life.

Honor Our “Highest Self”

Dr. Dyer’s philosophy on personal growth and spiritual connectedness has evolved since his first book, Your Erroneous Zones, was published in 1976. After writing a collection of best-selling books on the practice of self-improvement, he experienced a shift in his thinking that led him to further explore the human experience from a spiritual perspective. Dr. Dyer believes it is possible for any of us to manifest our deepest desires by consciously choosing to honor our inner divinity, also known as our “highest self.”

When beginning our own journey toward self-awareness, Dr. Dyer suggests that we see ourselves as eternal spiritual beings. In Dyer’s own words, “Begin to see yourself as a soul with a body rather than a body with a soul.” By choosing to live our “highest self,” we can attract the experiences we desire and achieve the life we’ve always imagined possible.
