Dreams happen for a reason. They give life to our deepest hopes and aspirations. They make the impossible seem possible. And they show us the path to the future.

Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” When we hold a dream of what tomorrow could be, it gives our todays meaning and purpose.

And while some dreams may seem unreachable, we’ll never know unless we pursue them. Author Alan Cohen wrote, “Do not wait until the conditions are perfect to begin. Beginning makes the conditions perfect.” By starting to create something special today, we open the door to what the future can hold.

Dreams can be a purpose in themselves. When we keep the pathway open to beauty and wonder in life, we experience a richer, more meaningful existence. As Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius said, “Dwell on the beauty of life. Watch the stars, and see yourself running with them.”

And the best part about dreams is that they never have an expiration date. Any day can be the day you begin to work on a dream, and any day can be the day it begins to come true. Author CS Lewis wrote, “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.”

So dream big – because you never know where a dream might lead you.
