Happy people don’t think about happiness – they just live it! Here are three basic ways to let go, reach out to others, and simply experience life again – trusting that happiness will catch up with us wherever we go.

1. Go beyond. Move outside of your day and into someone else’s – find a friend who’s feeling up, and go with their flow. Or visit with someone who needs a lift, and raise your own heart by raising theirs.

2. Make strides. Be proactive, change your surroundings, and experience something new each day. Introduce yourself to strangers. Speak out. Create. Play. Dance. Laugh. Do anything but sit at home. Take chances – no risk, no reward!

3. Settle down. Relax, and be a part of the world for a little while. Activity is good, but too much can overwhelm the mind. Find your balance, and be okay with taking a peaceful timeout every now and then.
